Wellness Home Business Booming

Over the last several months Mr. V and I have worked very hard to grow our Shaklee wellness home business. When you believe in a product it makes it so much easier to promote and market and our time is really starting to pay off.

When we joined Shaklee we set allot of goals for the business, however got sidetracked some and it has taken longer to get our business really going that we originally anticipated. We never one time thought about quitting the business, becuase we knew that the products were amazing and also knew we have the potential to make a great income with the business. So, we took the time to learn as much as we could and get allot of training.

It is really starting to pay off! Our customer base is growing every month and we have been working hard to get it out there.

The health & wellness industry is really booming as more and more people are realizing that optimal health is the key to vitality. Not only that, the line of green home care products are really a big hit with many people.

Since Shaklee was on national TV on the Oprah show, Rachael Rae, and published in many magazines, many people are realizing that Shaklee is for real. The products are great and the company is built on ethics unlike many other direct sales business.

When we joined Shaklee I really thought we might make some extra money but never had a clue how in demand the products really area. We were involved with another wellness business some time ago and the business point blank was not easy.  The retention was horrible and it was constant work.

We knew when we joined Shaklee we wanted to work the business online only. Since we are internet marketers, offline was not an option. I was really shocked to see how many people have shown interested in the Shaklee products and Shaklee business.

So, I am excited to report that our business is booming!I am sure over the next few months our wellness home business is going to grow at an astronomical rate and I am excited to see what time brings!

For those of you who are looking at different health home business opportunities, see what Shaklee can offer you as an Independent Distributor.  The comp plan is very nice, the products are amazing, and the company is solid! Shaklee truly offers a great home based opportunity for anyone who is looking to build a business in the health & wellness industry.

Small Business Goal Setting

This is our 4th post about setting goals for your home business. I hope everyone who has been following these posts have felt motivated to sit down and take some time to create a goal sheet and really be able to meet any goals you have for your business.

Goals needs to be laid out if you truly want to accomplish them. Goal setting should use used in all of your business planning. Setting specific goals will help you set your business up for success.

Anything you wish to accomplish for your business can be used as a goal to meet. Such as, getting your home office organized, having more sales for your online store, or even working less hours in a set amount of time. Once you know exactly what your goals are you can begin to work on, how you will reach those goals.

When you set goals for your home business you will make a commitment to any challenges you may be facing and will find correcting them easier.

I have found two nice little printable goal sheets online. Goal Sheet One and Goal Sheet Two.Take a minute to download them and print them off. Use them as your goals setting guide for weekly goals or even year long goals you have for your business.

Most of the goals I set for 2007 I have been able to accomplish! Honestly I used to have a hard time reaching my goals until I really started writing all of my goals down and writing down what I needed to do to reach those goals. That gave me something to look at when I felt discouraged or when I needed a pick me up!

As 2008 approaches quickly, I have already began working on my 2008 business goals.

My main goals for 2008 are…..

To work 15 hours less per week. Currently I do work full time. True, I work from home, but I would like to work less hours and make the same amount of money.

In order for me to be able to do that, I know I need to be able to cut 2 1/2 hours per day out of my working time. A few ways I have thought of to do that will be, hiring a virtual assistant to help with emails, proposals, article marketing and press releases. That alone will save me at least 7 hours per week if not more.

To find ad’s I can use monthly that generate good results. I do allot of online advertising for my businesses, so I do advertise online allot. If I can find either a few better sites to advertise on or a few that will generate the same amount of traffic to my sites as my current ad’s are sending I can probably increase my sales by at least 40% or so.

In order to do that, I need to start talking with other’s about what ad’s they run and what sites they have found to be the best. I also need to start looking over new forums and doing research on new advertising options.

So, what are you business goals for 2008? Leave me a comment and let me know! I am sure everyones goal list will help motivate other home business owners in setting their goals and accomplishing them!

WAHM Go For Your Goals

This week will be my third post about setting goals on a weekly or monthly basis. I hope everyone was able to meet they goals they had set last week!

As for me, I did not get much of anything done! Wow, it was not a very productive week for me at all. I started getting sick and found myself completely worn out and not motivated at all.  I spent allot of time just relaxing and reading a new book I got called The Girls’ Guide to Building a Million-Dollar Business. ( so far it has been a great book)

Just being able to check email was a task, since I now have to filter through 600 emails a day to find what is good mail and what is spam. The spammers have taken over my email accounts horribly, and I can not seem to stop it. The more I try the worse it gets.

I did however, get a few pages done on my newest ebook. So, I am closer to finally meeting that goal of getting it done this month. Hopefully I will be able to complete it this week!

I am working on some really good posts for this week, so keep your eyes out! I will be releasing my last ebook, which I think many of you will benefit from! The book has some great ideas for marketing your home business.

Here are my goals for the week of November 19….

  1. Finish the ebook I have been working on for a month.
  2. Complete 2 new articles and submit them to article directories.
  3. Introduce 10 people to AmeriPlan.
  4. Get all of our laundry done! ( I managed to get half done last week)
  5. Get my health and wellness website updated with our new products.
  6. Find at least 10 new quality websites to exchange links with.
  7. Post daily to the forums I am a member of.
  8. Finish reading my book The Girls’ Guide to Building a Million-Dollar Business.

What are all of your goals?

Let’s have some fun and start setting our business goals for the week of November 19.
