Cell Phone Company Goes MLM
This month, July 2008 a company that was formed in 1993 will go multi-level marketing. This will be the first wireless mlm I am aware of, however I am not shocked as this is a huge trillion dollar industry!
Our Wireless is the name of the mlm that is in pre-launch as of today, but officially launch in days. This is a huge niche market and I am excited to see where this company will stand in the mlm world.
Facts-at-a-Glance:
- Company formed in 1993
- 25 years of experience in the communi-cations and data billing industry
- More than 160 employees providing back-office support Wireless phone billing
- Customer service and Provisioning
- Wireless Representative support
- 80,000 square feet of office space
- A necessity-based wireless product and monthly billing offering that has been in development for more than five years
- Members CompTel, BBB, and pending member DSA
- Ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in America, 1999
I have a feeling many of the professional multi-level marketers will be jumping on this opportunity.
After looking at a portion of their comp plan, I am not sure the newbie mlm’er would get very far, but I could be wrong.
According to the flyer I found on one of the ways to make money…
True residual income from wireless monthly bills. The average wireless customer bills $60 per month with a two year contract. The company will pay you 1% up to 4% down 8 compresses levels. You could earn up to an average of 20% per month!! Example: 5000 wireless customers in your down line times $60 (bill) = $300,000 monthly billing times 4%=$12,000 monthly
I was not able to find what determines the qualifications for the 1%-4%. The example of 5000 wireless customers is a huge number, especially for someone new into mlm. Now in their example I noticed they reference 4% commissions.
For some reason $12,000 for 5000 customers a month just does not sound like a lot of money to me, but that is residual income if you are able to bring in 5000 customers. I assume if you bring in half of that 2500 customers you check will cut in half, unless you then only qualify for the 1% commission.
Now, they are also offering leadership dollars off new wireless representatives from $50-$350
Example: 100 new wireless reps times $200 average = $20,000
Now that I can see adding up real nice!
What do you think about this new wireless mlm opportunity?
