Work at Home Business Expert Discusses Outsourcing
Jeffrey A. Lander, a work at home business expert some say, has recently authored a new book, The Home Office From Hell Cure. In his new book he leans towards telling home-based entrepreneurs if they want a successful home business positioned for growth, they must focus on revenue-producing tasks and begin outsourcing everything else.
Jeffery shares his professional insight on home business success, stating that outsourcing and focusing on work that will generate revenue is the secret to growing a successful work at home business.
Work from home business owners often try to do everything themselves. They’re mavericks and they’re used to multi-tasking — sending out invoices, managing accounts, returning phone calls, handling vendors, checking e-mail, filing and hundreds of other time-consuming jobs that are necessary, but take up huge amounts of time. Landers believes home-based entrepreneurs are missing out on opportunities when they focus on these menial tasks. He believes home business owners should focus on the revenue-generating aspects and leave the time-consuming drudge work to an outsourced professional.
In yesterdays post, 3 Tips To Stay Focused on Your Home Business Goals, tip #3 says the exact same thing.
If you find yourself spending too much time doing non-productive activities, then you should seriously consider finding a third-party service provider who will assist you in those non-profitable business activities. Virtual assistants are excellent to work with, and offer many services to help you stay focused on your productive business activities.
Many successful home business owners outsource work. This allows them to work on more things and actually make more money even though they pay someone to help out.
Landers believes “The best way to kill a home-based business is to focus on the work that doesn’t translate into money and growth.” I believe that 100%. Many things that are associated with running a successful home business do not actually make money. Which means every time we spend time working on those things we are loosing out.
I have not had a chance to read his book yet, however I will be grabbing a copy to read for myself.
Jeffery, the author, has a website as well. The address is http://www.homeofficesuccess.com. He has a blog, great articles and lots of tools for the home business owner.

That is really good advice. I still have a habit of trying to be the “Jill of all trades” but you can really start overworking yourself and not getting anything accomplished if you don’t start managing your resources and time better instead of trying to do it all yourself.

I’m the first to admit that my copy writing isn’t terrific. I sit down in front of my computer and write for hours on end. The result is usually hundreds of words of nonsensical rubbish. I’ll definitely be looking into outsourcing for my content writing needs in the future. It’s just a pain trying to figure out how much you should pay to have someone else come up with the words to explain what you’re feeling or selling!

This is absolutely true. If it’s not something that you make money from, you should find a way to hire someone to do it.
Have some clean your house and do your yard. Get your business on Quickbooks and find an accountant to reconcile it monthly and get your invoicing automated.
