Make Money in Network Marketing- You Really Can
Network marketing is on the rise. Why? Because if you want to work from home or even make some money online, network marketing or multi level marketing can help you do just that.
After many years in network marketing I can honestly say that I have been very successful. I am a people person and love to talk. Two excellent qualities of network marketers. My husband and I are involved with three different network marketing companies, and have done well with all three. AmeriPlan, Shaklee and Goyin.
Let me explain why we have done so well with each company.
With AmeriPlan- The company offers a service that half of America actually needs and can use. Unlike a make-up business like Avon or a Pampered Chef businesses, their compensation plan is set up for residual income. What does that mean? It means you make a sale one time and get paid over and over on that one sale. Where if you have an Avon or Pampered Chef business in order to keep making money you must be out making new sales constantly. One-time sales mean you are constantly searching for new customers. Does everyone need Avon or Pampered Chef products? No, but people need medical and dental benefits.
With Shaklee- The company offers product’s that consumers can use over and over again. The company offers a line of health and wellness items. This business is a good one to be involved in because the health industry is a billion dollar a year market. People are getting more involved with nutrition and health and Shaklee offers the products these consumers want. Unlike the Pampered Chef business which sells cooking items you buy one time and use for years, Shaklee offers products people need over and over.
With Goyin- The company has a consumable product with years of market research behind it. Consumable products are on the rise and when you find people who like your products, they order over and over again. Residual income kicks in and you can move on to build your business even larger while still get paid for work you did weeks, months or years ago.
What has helped us be so successful in network marketing? To make good money in network marketing your service or product must be one many people can use or enjoy, must be priced right, and it must be a product or service people are already using. If people are already using a similar service or product you will not need to spend as much time educating people.
Compensation Plans- In the network marketing business the compensation plan must be worth wild! Let me explain, if I am marketing a product lets say worth $200 and I only get a $5.00 commission from it, it is NOT worth my wild. Do you know how many products at $200 I would have to sell just to make $1000 a month? ALLOT!
You want to make sure any mlm business has a good comp plan before you join. If they do not, you will only be setting yourself up for failure.
The Product Or Service- Many network marketers fail simply becuase they join a business based solely on its comp plan and not on the products or service sold. If you believe in what you are marketing, you will have much more success.
The start up cost- There is NO business in the world you can start for nothing. If you happen to find one, it is generally a brand new company, with no market research, no training, no websites, and nothing you will actually make any decent money at. Those are normally the businesses run out of a home some where. These companies will never go anywhere and you will never make any decent money.
99.9% of home businesses require some kind of start up cost. The cost is to offset training material or kits the new rep will need to get started. After studying many network marketing companies, I expect to make some type of investment to get involved with a good company.
When people join a business with a start-up cost involved (no matter if it is $50 or $500) those are the people who are generally serious about a home business. Those are the prospects you want!
People who start restaurants or stores have investments for products and overheads, same thing with network marketing. You will need supplies and business materials.
After that has been said I would like to make a few points….
Point 1- Having 15 people join a freebie business who sit back and do nothing are useless to you. Those are the people who join businesses out of curiosity or the ones who may do something with their business ONE DAY. These generally the people who will never upgrade, never do anything with the business, and expect you to do everything for them. A BIG waste of time.
Point 2- Having 5 people join a business with some type of investment will serve you much better! Why? Those are serious people that will not waste a lot of your time. I do not want to spend 5 hours with someone training them for them to turn around and do nothing with their business. People looking for a legit business know that there will be some type of investment needed.
Point 3- If you are involved in a company that has products or services that can be purchased over and over again, you will build your business faster and make more money.
Once you understand this you can being to make a real income in network marketing if the company offers:
- Training for team member.
- Support for your customers.
- A decent track record.
- An excellent compensation plan.
- Websites you can use that are user friendly.
All of those are important for the success of any business. You need a good training system, you need good support, you need to know the company is solid and will not be shutting down any time soon, and also need e-commerce capabilities if you want to use the internet to grow your business.

All good advice. Mary Kay is a good company in that the skin care is something that women buy over and over.
Still, with any business like this, you have to want to do the networking. If you don’t want to do it, no amount of wishing will make it profitable.

Hi Hp,
You know Mark Kay is a good company product wise, however I am not really fond of the inventory idea. I have known many people who got involved with Mark Kay and their uplines all want them to buy thousands of dollars worth of inventory.
Now you are right about the networking issues! It is a must for a successful business of any kind!

I totally agree with you … network marketing can be a great way to make extra money. I’ve been doing mlm for about 7 years now. I’m currently working with candles. My “real” job is forecasting weather in the Air Force. As you can probably imagine, I’ve been literally all over the world these past few years. But since I’d put in some time and hard work a couple of years ago building my network marketing downline, I still got paid every month … even while I was sitting in the Iraqi desert.
